You can do these alongside an English language course or a degree or any other course if you want for some programs it is mandatory others it is an option to add if wanted.

Program fees are to be paid once only at £/€450. Internships / Volunteer positions may offer pay, expenses or a stipend but this is decided by the business and not by Student Works.

Paid work programs do not come with accommodation and you must meet the criteria to work in that country in order to get the job, so please talk to us if you are not sure.

2. Junior Group Leader Internship

We are offering you the opportunity to attend a group leader internship, which will help you to practice your customer service and child-care skills, whilst attending varied and enjoyable activities all over the island. This is the ideal internship for university students attending child-care or pedagogy courses. This role is available throughout the summer months, with a minimum stay of 2 months.

Responsibilities

  • Basic administrative duties related to the welfare and organization of groups
  • Supervising and communicating with minors on cultural and leisure activities in order to ensure safety and fun
  • Preparing venues for activities and ensuring that relevant props and stocks are present at all times
  • Responding to minor emergencies and answering emergency phone calls

Requirements

  • Candidates must be a minimum of B2 level English, fluency in additional languages will be considered an asset
  • Group Leaders must have a positive can-do attitude, with a strong team ethic and leadership skills
  • As this role is directly related to our junior clients, previous experience working with minors is required
  • Previous experience or education in event management or child-care will be considered an asset

3. Office Administration Internship

We are offering you the opportunity to attend an office administration internship, which will help you practice your organisational and administrative skills within the education industry, whilst attending varied, interesting and enjoyable activities all over the island. This is the ideal internship for university students attending any type of business administration course.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the registrar team to make sure that all paperwork is filed and kept up to date
  • Assisting registrars in the cross-checking of student information
  • Preparing welcome packs for students staying in accommodation
  • Preparing student packs for the weekly student intake
  • Providing administrative assistance to Academic Managers during Annex operations
  • Researching competitors in a variety of different school departments and providing reports and information as requested
  • Imputing details of student feedback and creating a summary report

4. Adult Welfare Internship

We are  announcing an exciting new internship opportunity in the adult welfare sector within the education industry. We are currently seeking a responsible and highly driven individual to be responsible for the individual welfare needs of students while assisting the Operations Manager directly in carrying out a series of tasks as listed below (but not limited to) the arrival, duration and departure of the students, liaising with welfare officers, residence supervisors, activity leaders, interns, welcoming students and seeing to their well-being during class time, activities and in student residences.

Responsibilities

  • Leisure Programme

    • Promoting and selling of leisure activities

    • Helping with the organization of the leisure programme

    • Creating new promotional material

    • Attending of leisure activities with students, including evenings and weekends

  • Administration

    • Preparation of documents including welcome packs, students packs, student ID cards and school cafe bonus cards

    • Other duties will include checking books & DVD files from the library

  • Customer Care

    • Helping students and answering their questions from the main reception of the school

    • Daily questions and tasks will help with the knowledge and understanding of the operation of the school

5. Graphic Design Internship

An exciting new internship with a forward-thinking business in consumer retail.  The graphic design intern needs to have a creative eye to develop custom graphics as well as an ability to handle feedback while having the opportunity to practice and perfect their design skills. This position is available for a duration of 3-6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Work on projects that spread across digital and print assets, packaging and point of purchase

  • Refine existing templates or help create new layouts for a wide range of digital marketing collateral

6. Video editor/e-learning design internship

Description: Video editor/e-learning design internship With students from over 30 different nationalities, located in Central London and an amazing team, you will have a chance to be part of something different. 7. filmmaking internship for Kit and Facilities

Kit and Resource Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity for a new or recent filmmaking graduate or current
student looking for an internship. Working to the Kit and Facilities Coordinator and
line managed by the Production Manager, this role will work in our busy equipment
store.
Familiarity with camera especially the C100 plus basic sound and lighting kits
is preferable.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their skills and experience to
take on the technical and organisational aspects of the role, and wish to work with a
diverse group of staff, tutors and students. Days can be extremely busy at times, so
a willingness to be flexible on start and end times is necessary.

Main duties will include;
● support the preparation, loading and unloading of kit in the equipment store
● support administrative duties such as kit booking and room bookings
● support tutors to set up kit/equipment for teaching – this may including lighting,
sound, camera etc

9. Logistics support assistant

  • Ensure all telephone calls are answered promptly & courteously and directed or dealt with in a timely manner

Working on PC in back office – using donor management system to enter new donors onto system, update/amend details. Use   system to print labels to price items
